Irene Czapary

Irene Czapary is the creator of Balanced Nourishment Wellness Consulting. She is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Dietitian and Nutritionist (LDN). She completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics at the University of Maryland and is currently completing a Master’s of Science in Herbal Medicine at the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, Maryland. She has completed the Commission on Dietetic Registration’s Adult Weight Management certificate program and is also ServSafe certified.

From a very young age, Irene was intrigued by the science of nutrition and the art of cooking. Growing up surrounded by amazing cooks (her grandmother, mother, and aunts), she was inspired by the magic that takes place in the kitchen when meals are prepared and shared with passion, joy and love. As a child, she started developing her inner “foodie” by experimenting with new recipes and modifying them to make them more nutritionally balanced. Through family and friends, she observed the critical role nutrition and lifestyle (including exercise, stress management, sleep, community, and spirituality) play in supporting wellness and preventing the development of disease.

As an adult, she became dedicated to a career guiding others in making sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes that will support and enhance their health and quality of life. She has worked for the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), as a Clinical Dietitian at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney and The Lutheran Home in Rockville, as a Clinical Nutrition Manager at Montgomery General Hospital, and as a personal chef for families and athletes, including an NFL player. Irene’s private practice is located in Rockville, MD. She believes in the importance of nourishing the body with delicious, wholesome foods and works with her clients to create balance in their diets and overall lifestyle by setting realistic goals to establish sustainable change. You may choose to see Irene at her office in Rockville, MD, in the comfort of your own home, or at the herbal clinics located in Laurel and Silver Spring.

In her free time Irene enjoys hiking, gardening, perusing ethnic grocery stores and farmers markets, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen!
